Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
This policy explains what information St. Pete Fitness (https://stpetefitness.com) collects and how it's used. The site is operated by Don Zurbrick ("we," "us").
What we collect
Information you give us. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect information about your visit: the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, a search engine or a link), approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and a random identifier stored in a cookie. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We don't send Google your name, email address or other information that directly identifies you.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without using cookies.
How we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for and answer your messages.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site:
- Google (Google Analytics): website measurement. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Google Fonts: the site loads its typefaces from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details.
- Buttondown: our newsletter provider, which stores subscriber email addresses and sends the newsletter.
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and bot protection.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Links to other sites
Links to event organizers and registration sites such as RunSignup and Eventbrite take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Third-party tracking across sites
Google may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites when you use this site, as described at the Google link above. We don't allow other third parties to collect that kind of information through this site.
Your choices
- Cookie settings: use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject Google Analytics cookies.
- Opt out of Google Analytics: install Google's browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Cookies: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. The site still works without them.
- Newsletter: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Review, correct or delete your information: email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how sites should respond, so this site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits, use the opt-out add-on above.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
If you're in the EEA, UK or Switzerland
We use Google Analytics only if you agree in our cookie banner. Our legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it anytime under Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawing doesn't affect visits counted before. Analytics data is processed by Google and may be transferred to the United States. You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal information, to object to its use, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use these rights, email [email protected].
Visitors outside the United States
This site is run from the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also add a notice on the homepage and tell newsletter subscribers by email before it takes effect.
